A couple of days ago we found a little bird sitting on our porch. It's wing and leg were hurt, so we put it in a box and took care of it that day. It turned out it was a nuthatch which is a protected species, so the next day we took it to the zoo where it will be healed and then set free :)

Style Practice
This is just another experiment. I was curious how well can I adapt to the color and style of an existing movie. Hercules seemed to be a good material for this since it has an easily identifiable look.

Sea Mood
Moving on with the lighting thing. I've been in an oceany mood today, so I tried an underwater scape. It's rather just a sketch though, I didn't do much research, it more just came to me.

Lighting study
Meet Gull. From now on he's going to be my object for practising how to do lighting. I chose him to be a seagull so that he only has a few colors that are easy to handle in different lighting environments.

Hawaiian Beauty
I've just received The Art of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and it seems very promising. I haven't had the time yet to be absorbed in it, but I couldn't resist to make a quick sketch of Gloria. I made it by memory though, so it doesn't check up in every detail.

Second star to the right...
Tried a different approach, but I'm sure this was the first and at the same time the last painting I did in such a mushy style...

Giant wiffle ball
There's a sculpture on the backyard of our university that I like, although I'm not quite sure what it is. It looks like a giant wiffle ball or something like that. Anyway it looked very nice in the afternoon sunshine the other day, so I made a painting of it.
