Sea Mood

Moving on with the lighting thing. I've been in an oceany mood today, so I tried an underwater scape. It's rather just a sketch though, I didn't do much research, it more just came to me.

Lighting study

Meet Gull. From now on he's going to be my object for practising how to do lighting. I chose him to be a seagull so that he only has a few colors that are easy to handle in different lighting environments.

The second semester's over, the evaluation went well, there are only a couple of exams left, so it's time to relax!

I've found my portfolio from last year. That year was all about skeletons... haven't seen so many ever since. At least they made me appreciate live models :)

I've just received The Art of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and it seems very promising. I haven't had the time yet to be absorbed in it, but I couldn't resist to make a quick sketch of Gloria. I made it by memory though, so it doesn't check up in every detail.
