Movie time!

Last year MOME animation was asked to create ID spot films for four cinemas in Budapest. I was very glad that my idea got selected because I've been wanting to try silhouette based animation for a very long time now. To keep up with my other projects I had to make it real fast (of course) so I have tons of things I could polish (as always) but I'm kinda happy with it. We presented the spots to Budapest Film today and they liked all of them :) Mine will be screened in the children's program. You can check out the film and the original storyboard that later got changed a bit.

60 Golden Years

My mom has turned 60 last week. Fortunately we could stay at home a day longer and celebrate with her. And since she is fond of all plants and flowers I thought this scene from Alice in Wonderland would suit her nicely. Sok Boldog Szülinapot, Anyu!

There's Emerald City!

It's kind of a habit now that I make paper-cuts for my mom as a Christmas gift. This was my third and most elaborate piece. To make it even more fun I chose the Wizard of Oz because I've been watching it every Christmas for I don't know how long. For some reason it's a Christmas movie for me :)
Beside of the finished piece you can also see a rough and a colored sketch I used as a guide.

I got neighbours

This semester's main project was to make a 3 min animatic. No restrictions in subject or technique so we were completely free to do whatever we wanted. My music based story is about four neighbours doing their usual evening routines but things get quickly messed up as the old lady's cat and the magician's hat accidentally meet.

Paris!

Visiting Paris is always amazing but it might be even more beautiful in the fall. Krisz and I spent 5 wonderful days there and had a great time. We took long walks in the afternoon sunshine, went to museums, ate tons of crêpes and I even got to draw whenever I wanted. I love drawing on the spot, fortunately the weather was warm enough to do that. So here are the pictures and some of the drawings I made. I still got a lot more but I want to work on some of them before posting. Enjoy!
